March 2016 – Ferndale Retreat

In early March Cherrybrook Quilters had a weekend away at Ferndale Country Retreat, Lower Portland. The bushland setting was rustic but comfortable and we were greeted by peacocks each morning.  Most of our time was spent in the large conference room with a lovely view over the Hawkesbury River.

It was a relaxing weekend where we brought along our hand or machine sewing projects, many of us working on projects for the quilt exhibition in August.
