April 2018
We enjoyed an embroidery workshop with Rosemary Walker this month. Rosemary presented a felt pin cushion & felt needle keeper embellished with crazy embroidery. She inspired us to unleash our creativity. This meeting we concentrated on the embroidery, with the completion & construction of these two projects at our October meeting. Rosemary had been busy sourcing threads & embellishments for this project.
The evening was a huge success with almost all of our members attending. It was a fun evening as we sat, sewed and talked.
Show & Tell

Elsa is knitting a scarf for her son. It is unusual as it is knitted lengthwise. She has cast on 400 stitches and it takes a long time to knit each row.
Judy is in the final stages of completing this wonderful colourful La Passacaglia quilt that she has hand pieced over the past two years.
Margaret completed a cute mug bag.
Maria has also been busy knitting a soft shawl in variegated wool from Spain.
Judith knitted and crocheted this colourful scrappy rug for her friend’s wedding.
Julie-Ann made a quilt ‘Wildlife with Love” and cushion for her daughter’s friend’s baby.
Kim completed this Sue Spargo designed thread and craft organiser bag over the Easter break.
Annie showed us her lovely beaded snowflake Christmas decoration and a felt Easter bunny brooch.
