Viive presented a talk on her latest trip to Sri Lanka. It was a cultural tour including visits to 6 UNESCO World Heritage sites, 4 Wildlife National Parks, The National museum and architecture by Geoffrey Bawa.
Ancient city of Sigiriya – a spectacular rock fortress featuring the ancient remains of King Kassapa’s palace from the 5th century AD.
The city of Kandy – capital of Sri Lanka’s hill country and home to the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha.

Carmel has been making syringe bags for Palliative Care and crocheting octopuses for preemie babies (the tentacles resemble the umbilical cord and gives the baby something to grasp other than the tubes and cannulas) for Mt Druitt Hospital.

Jill has been extremely busy over the Christmas holidays completing many projects.
Helen has completed this Transport quilt with a dinosaur back that she began at the CQI retreat last July.
Lorraine is in the process of making this wool felt pincushion.
Karen showed us another panel of a quilt that she has appliqued. She said it would take her at least another year to complete the whole quilt.
Cheridan showed this reverse cross stitch project and an adorable children’s quilt that she made.
Kim is finishing a stocking with goldwork and embroidery that she has had for over 10 years. She also completed a cute felted wool project for Dawn while flying to and from the USA.
Lynne completed this amazing quilt that she made for her nephew Alex and his wife Sky for their wedding.
