February 2018 – Carolyn Pearce

In early February several members of CQI attended a two day Carolyn Pearce workshop.

Carolyn has always been fascinated by fabrics, laces, threads and buttons. Describing herself as a ‘frustrated artist’, Carolyn uses her threads as a paint box. Her favourite technique is always the one she is working on now and her ‘other love’ – the garden – provides constant inspiration for her needlework.

Carolyn presented a beautiful Pansy needlecase for us to complete. We all had an amazing time learning new techniques.
